Unfortunately for my waist line, I love to bake! I try to offset the damage by running, but I don't think my love of running can keep up with my love of baking!
About 10 years ago I had a choice to make...I had two acceptance letters in my hand...one for Culinary School and the other for an Accounting Program. For better or worse, I chose to pursue an accounting designation, but in the meantime I never lost my passion for food! I took classes, any chance I could, always looking to learn new things. After years of decorating cakes, cookies and cupcakes for friends and family, I decided to create Celebration Cookies in 2009, but I didn't quit my day job just yet! The experience of running Celebration Cookies part-time has been an incredible experience and has taught me many things about the craft, and more importantly about myself!
Recently, my husband's career has taken him across the country to Edmonton, Alberta. I'm taking this chance to pursue my passion on a full-time basis! I can't wait to continue to bake and create in these new surroundings!
